Brew on the Go: Great Ways to Get Your Coffee Fix Outdoors
With the weather starting to get nicer, you’re probably making plans to get outside as often as possible. We all know that stopping by your favorite coffee shop before going on an adventure is a must, but why not make an afternoon while you’re out communing with nature as well? Check out these handy tips to make your own brew outside.
Cowboy Coffee
If you need to look tough while putting some hair on your chest, then buck up with some cowboy coffee. This time-honored recipe was good enough for the roughnecks of the west, and it’s a cool way to start your morning as you’re breaking camp.
Items Needed:
- Metal coffee pot or large pot
- Campfire or camp stove
- Black Hand Coffee
What to Do:
- Bring the water to a boil over your heat source.
- Pour in coffee grounds and let it steep over heat for a couple of minutes
- Remove from heat, the coffee grounds should sink to the bottom, if they don’t, drizzle ice cold water across the top of your brew.
