Bulletproof Coffee

More than just a trend, bulletproof coffee has some proven health benefits. The oils in the butter and MCT coat your stomach making you feel satiated and give you an additional burst of energy.

 Ingredients

 How to Make It

  1. Brew a cup of coffee using any brewing method you'd like.
  2. Add butter, MCT oil, and coffee to a blender. Blend on high for 30 seconds. Enjoy.

Moroccan Spiced Coffee

Moroccan spiced coffee adds a delicious aromatic to your morning joe without overpowering the taste of a good roast.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup coffee beans (or espresso beans)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 or 2 whole cloves
  • Seeds from 3 or 4 cardamom pods
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (freshly grated)
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

How to Make It

  1. Place all ingredients into a coffee grinder and process. The spiced coffee is best used immediately. If you don't need all of it, store the spiced ground coffee in a light-proof, airtight container.
  2. Use the spiced ground coffee, one to two tablespoons per serving, to brew spiced coffee or espresso. (Note: The ground spices may clog the filter basket in electric espresso makers, so other brewing methods are preferred.)
  3. Serve the spiced coffee black, or with sugar and hot milk as desired.

Vietnamese Iced Coffee

This strong iced coffee is a great treat to start your morning or after a meal. The brew will give you a jolt and the sweetness of the condensed milk balances out the drink.

Ingredients

How to Make It

  1. Brew coffee with water using your preferred method to make brewed coffee. Spoon 2 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk into each of 4 coffee cups. Pour 1 cup of fresh hot coffee into each cup, and stir to dissolve the milk.
  2. Serve guests cups of coffee, and give each one a tall glass with 4 ice cubes, and a long-handled spoon. Guests pour hot coffee over the ice cubes and stir briskly with the long-handled spoon, making an agreeable clatter with the ice cubes to chill the coffee.

Irish Coffee

Sometimes you’ve just got to. This Irish coffee recipe is based off The Bar Book by Jeffrey Morgenthaller. It’s a stiff drink, but the airy, light cream balances the beverage perfectly.
